The Growing Hope charity is based in High Wycombe, offering free therapy for children and young people (0-18 years old) with additional needs.

Therapy services include:

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Physiotherapy

  • Speech and Language Therapy

  • Counselling

  • Music & Art Therapy

Growing Hope also supports siblings and parents through groups and courses.

CIRCLE OF SECURITY

Circle of Security is a program designed for parents and carers to deepen their understanding of their child’s emotional needs.

SIBLINGS GROUP

The Siblings Group provides a space for brothers and sisters of children with additional needs to share their thoughts and experiences.

Through activities like puppet play, painting, writing, and drawing, siblings are encouraged to express their feelings.

The goal is to help them understand that they are not alone in their journey.

WHEN DREAMS CHANGE

When Dreams Change is a course to support parents in adjusting to and processing the experience of having a child with additional needs.

    Before coming to Growing Hope, Connor's mother, Julie, told us that life was really hard for their family. They faced a daily battle to leave the house and Connor was terrified of anyone and everyone. It was emotionally exhausting for the whole family. Then they heard about Growing Hope High Wycombe through a friend, and made a referral for free therapy with us. Following assessment, we provided free music therapy sessions for Connor, as well as support for Julie through the When Dreams Change course.

  • Nico's Story

    Nico and his family came for free speech and language therapy support. They found out about Growing Hope and thought "This is too good to be true".

  • Kai's Story

    Kai came for free speech and language therapy support. When he first came to an assessment, he had a couple of words which he did not tend to use much or in context.

    He found it difficult to engage with adult led activity and to sustain his attention on a task. By his final two sessions he said 10 words in each session, in context with what he was taking part in at the time, was able to follow an adult led activity with visuals to support and sustain his attention for about five minutes on an activity he was interested in.
